University of Michigan Unveils New Museum Space

Xibitz has a new project to add to our museum fabrication portfolio. The team at Xibitz has been busy for a while working on the University of Michigan’s new museum space, including planning, design, fabrication, and installation. But after countless hours of exacting work the new space will be open on April 14. “This is such an exciting time for the museum,” said Amy Harris, director of the natural history museum. “We’re looking forward to seeing our visitors’ faces as they discover old friends such as the mastodon couple in their new home, or meet our new dinosaur, Majungasaurus, for the first time. It is an important moment for the university and the community at large, and we look forward to sharing our new space with everyone.”

Xibitz was thrilled to be able to work with such a talented team including Lord Cultural Resources, Taylor Studios, Research Casting International, and Ennead and SmithGroupJJR. We are so proud of our team and the hard work they have done bringing history to life.

This venture joins our other museum fabrication, installation, and design projects including:

  • The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum
  • Perlan Museum
  • North Dakota Heritage Center
  • Burpee Museum of Natural Museum
  • and more…
