Aligning Brand with Client Experience


While TD Ameritrade is known as an industry leader in online investing and other financial services, it also offers Retail Centers for clients who want face-to-face interaction and support.


When envisioning a prototype for these national branch offices, TD Ameritrade called on Houston’s HOK-Viscom and Xibitz for their high-quality work and ability to execute unique brand components. The partners developed designs that are artful extensions of brand attributes found in the client’s advertising, web and broadcast media. They also produced a package that can be easily replicated by various vendors and partners in other locations, while maintaining high quality and following the brand standards developed by HOK-Viscom for TD Ameritrade.


Lighted murals, direct-printed curtains and vinyl graphics, and a custom whiteboard were all developed to meet specific client needs. In addition, user-friendly work spaces allow employees to easily change out graphic posters and brochures.


The royalty-free art HOK created for TD Ameritrade has since transcended the physical environment for use in the client’s internal communications. In addition, it has extended to enhance work environments at TD Ameritrade’s Omaha headquarters.
