Kumon North America Corporate Experience

Xibitz is helping Kumon North America embark on an ambitious plan to create a gathering place for its current and future Associates and Instructors.  Opening to coincide with Kumon North America's 50th Anniversary, Kumon University will play a major role in providing the systematic learning and development activities needed to help the company achieve its 2014 vision to be "a recognized world-class organization" with "first-class" associates.

Xibitz and Lord Cultural Resources are currently working together developing the content and design for this innovative corporate experience. Xibitz is scheduled to complete installation early May 2009.

Cranbrook Institute of Science

Xibitz has been selected by the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, MI to collaborate with Hutchinson Studios and Cavalla & Associates to provide exhibits for a new 2,500 square foot anthropology exhibition titled The Story of Us.  Xibitz was chosen to provide the detailed design, engineering, fabrication and installation of the exhibits based upon our experience with installations of similar scope and in particular our knowledge and experience with large conservation-grade artifact cases.

The Story of Us will feature a unique blending of audio visual technology with approximately 240 artifacts from varied time periods and cultures. Each main content area includes a large, full height display case, and a “magic book” delivering video content. Artifact identification information is delivered on touch screen displays in front of the cases. Pepper’s ghost technology is used to deliver the feature program, as well as introductions at both entrances to the exhibit.

Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

The team of Xibitz and Lord Cultural Resources has been retained to create a new exhibition for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s Visitor’s Gallery in Austin, Texas. The new exhibition will use interactive components to place native plants in context, while inspiring and urging visitors to action in Texas, and beyond. It will make the case for native plants in a contemporary way that appeals to visitors through issues that they already feel connected to, and will inform them about the exciting research and programs taking place at the Center.  The main themes identified for visitors to explore are Ecological Heritage, Ecological Citizenship and Ecological Sustainability.

Our scope of services includes: Interpretive Planning, Exhibit Planning, Budgeting, Value Engineering, Exhibit Design, Project Management, Fabrication, and Installation.

National Archeological Museum of Aruba

The new permanent exhibition at the National Museum of Aruba will educate and excite visitors both resident and tourist, both indigenous and immigrant about Aruba’s rich cultural heritage through a variety of interactive and inspirational experiences. It will educate, motivate and inspire visitors to act – learning, preserving, and respecting this unique heritage.

This two and a half year project will culminate in the public opening in the summer of 2009.
